To be pedentic, Shafted wasn't shafted because of the racism row. It actually aired - briefly - a couple of years before that. The HIGNFY team only came across this clip later on when he made his infamous remarks about Arabs and joined UKIP.

@Nogli Kilroy was never UKIP leader, only an MEP, but his celebrity backing was what took them into the mainstream. Ironically, they shafted him too, once they felt that his publicity wasn't actually doing them any favours.
