Unfounded Revenge / Smashing Song of Praise - History Behind Super Smash Bros. Brawl Music

My contribution to the "History Behind Super Smash Bros. Brawl" project, this video shows where the track "Unfounded Revenge / Smashing Song of Praise", which plays on the New Pork City stage, comes from.

It is a medley of two Mother 3 songs, which are known as "Misplaced Revenge" and "Anthem of Destruction". I guess the names are different because NoA just decided to translate them differently.

In case you didn't know, Mother 3 is the sequel to EarthBound (Mother 2) and is a "strange, funny, and heartrending" game released for the Game Boy Advance in 2006. Starring Lucas, this game was released in Japan only.

By the way, if you haven't yet, go play Mother 3 right now. An English translation patch has been out for about two months, so you have no excuse NOT to play it. GOGOGOGOGO

to correct u there is an actual song called unfounded revenge in the mother 3 sound player wich is the song that plays if u fight a pigmask colonel

I love how the boss themes for mother 3 usually have 2 versions that are slightly different.

I like Anthem of Destruction (Smashing Song of Praise) better IMO. Earthbound always had good music, tho I only played Mother 2 and some of 3

I say that because PK Fire does a lot more damage in the Fierce Pork Trooper. =P
