Wolves, bears threaten sheep in Idaho

John Faulkner's herders counted their sheep on Saturday, July 12, knowing full well they'd suffered some losses. They were short 40 head. "We already knew we'd lost four to bear and three to wolves, but we're still looking for those other 40 head, to determine what's happened to them," Faulkner told nearly 100 guests on the annual range tour sponsored by the Idaho Wool Growers Association. The tour was on Faulkner's allotments in the Trinity Mountains, public lands administered by the Mountain Home Ranger District of the Boise National Forest. Predators are one of two major problems in the region for the rancher, who runs two bands of sheep in the area. Video by Pat McCoy of Capital Press.

and here we got a group with a combined I.Q of george bush..which aint much LOL!..wolves are an apex predator and a critically important part of the eco system and certainly waay the hell more important than humans OR little green pieces of paper with dead presidents on them!..we stole the land from the native AMERICANS AND wolves then we stole the free spaces from other AMERICANS and fenced it off!.and NOW we wanna blow a hole in anything or anybody that comes near "our" space...laughable!

Why don't you Wolf Advocates realize that YOUR Wolf is a menace , that no Guard Dog , Lama or Wishful thinking can change.

why don't you guys get some herd guardian dogs? breeds like anatolian shepherd or sarplaninac, say 3 or 4 of them, depending on the size of the herd, could fix a wolf pack or a bear no questions asked.... in my country there are lots of wolves, and traditionally dogs were used to fend off predators. the number of killed sheep when protected by dogs are symbolic.
