  • Let's not forget Tenzing. Without the Sherpa people who became "sherpas" none of those climbs would have been made possible. Also remember that Tenzing wasn't "Hillary's sherpa", as so much media reports. Tenzing was a full member of the expedition's climbing team, and did more on that expedition than any one man, including Hillary.

Remember Hillary, if you will, but don't let a Western superiority complex allow you to forget, or even worse disregard, Tenzing.

  • The "Sherpas" are the silent artificers of the expeditions...always in the shadow, they let success to the expeditions. Total respect for Tenzing and all the "Sherpas"!

  • Your tribute was really a work of art. Thank you...

  • Thank you very much...

  • I had a dream last night, no! a vision! A humble man walking down a path of light. But even the Angels bowed before him! trumpets rang out!

Two beautiful women flung their arms around him, and a Mighty Voice from a high place simply said "Well Done Ed"

  • This is beautiful. Looks like you were very impressed by this video...

  • Sir Edmund, Mr. Norgay and the Mountain have special significance to me as well as Queen Elizabeth in 1953. It is my Birth year. Though I am not a British Citizen nor a Sherpa, I can feel the pride cause it made it all the way here in Louisiana that year.
