looks good. needs a caboose and large wet noodle CN boxcar and maybe some Grand Trunk equipment

Not a bad looking train. How fine is the detail on those Proto newsprint boxcars? I need more Canadian-esque equipment for my collection.
By the way, you forgot one car in your tally;)

Is it just me or does the train seem kinda jerky? Great layout though.

It is - and I think it's the "slingshot" effect of the Kadees, which is magnifed by the up and down 4% grade on this test layout. There is a slight power bump on the crossing (it's never been trouble free), but the loco runs fine by itself. This is a simple 4x8 foot loop, with a 4% grade on each curve, and a train this length occupies both at once. The Kadees, in the Proto 2k newsprint cars, have a lot of spring; the front of the train (all Sergents) seems immune. Thanks!

Yeah I get the same issue on my layout with Kadees and McHenrys. Do you find that the Sergents correct excessive coupler slack?

I do - three is almost no slack or play in the Sergents. I've become a big fan of them; they work great and look great. As long as you take care during assembly, you're in business.
