Most classical music composers would be metalheads, they played what they had, and some of them composed music way ahead their times. Also just compare the complexity of some songs with current music, you can only compare to some (good) metal songs, other styles are not even worth comparing.
These guys are awesome doing what they do, adapting classical music to the way it sounds awesome with current instruments. (Don't take me wrong, I also love classical music in its true form)
