"Sculputura azi. 4 discursuri"

"Sculputura azi. 4 discursuri" is the name of the exhibition that every year, since 2007, is showing to the Arad community,through Delta Gallery, 4 visions of the works of contemporary artists of Romania.

The participants of 2010 edition are:

- Bogdan Rata
- Nada Stojici
- Delia Corban
- Fehérvári Zsolt

The Association of Visual Artists from Arad (part of the Union of Visual Artists of Romania) is heavy involved in the exhition. If some of the participants sell an artwork they should pay a commision (usually 20%) to the local goverment, who offered the possibility of making this exhibition in the gallery. It's a way of returning back some of the expenses of the event. Unfortunately this does not happend too often. As Anamaria told us, it's quite hard to sell art here, so they are looking for sponsors.

Also, things are not easy for young or not so much consagrated artists, because when there is a competition for a monument or a sculpture for the public space in Romania the possibilities are small, less for young artists. The jury, will almost always prefer an sculpture of a consagrated artist, event if by some criteria the sculpture of the young artist is more interesting.
