Brent invented this roving robot using modified servos, 08M chip and parallax sonic sensor. The circuit board was designed in PCB Design and Make and cut out using our Rolland MDX540 CNC milling machine. The Rolland Mill, which was purchased through Dr. Tony Pugatschew at Intellecta, is excellent for making circuit boards and robotic projects such as this. Basically the chip is recieving information back from the sensor and it will constantly track to the furtherest object away from it.

  • Hi Darrengb, on this video we're using an 08M and a Parralax ping sensor. It's programmed to hunt the furtherest distance. However, you can adjust or change this to suit your programming. Cheers, Aaron.
