  • pretty sweet thumpin an a pluckin there terry! I got my modified a few months ago. Is that a Badass II bridge? Like the pickup cover.

  • @dowsemeister thanks man! I really enjoy your videos!!! Your squier somehow sounds better than mine before I changed the pickups!! And yes, that's a BadAss II. A must have for jazz basses!

  • @terrykumar what does getting a upgraded bridge do for you?

  • @henry14000 better sustain, better intonation, brighter sound, and none of those loose tension issue that I used to get with cheap vintage bridges. Worth going IMO.

  • awesome playing! how do u find the neck and action man? thinkin of getting one and swapping the pickups and maybe installing a preamp! :)

  • @SmithIRL the neck is very thin, just like the Geddy Lee series, the action is nice, it felt great but i thought there's something missing.. I don't know, might just be the construction.

I personally think this was such a great bass, maple wood on the body really gives alot of punch, and if I'm to make another jazz bass I definitely go with maple / mahogany. I did a head to head comparison with a stock fender marcus miller and the VM blows the MM out of water.

    I'd suggest emg pickups.

  • Dude that was awesome, great job!! :D

  • hey man would you recommend this bass?

  • @terrykumar I changed my pickups after a week to a pair of old Fender Jazz quarter pounders I had laying around fo 10 years. Less super highs. I also run it thru a Sans Amp Bass Driver DI. Can't get a BadAss II anymore here in Vancouver. apparently Leo Quan went out of business.

  • @terrykumar Which EMP pickups / preamp do you suggest? I have the same vintage squier.

  • @terrykumar sounds good man, i think i'll take a chance on it, actually had a marcus miller sig that i traded for a sandberg but now I'm looking for a nice j style bass and this seems like the best option with some upgraded electronics(i love my preamps)! thanks for the input :)
