@KuostA A stressed engine is a setup in a monocoque chassis where the rear suspension is mounted directly to the engine and transmission, and the engine mounted directly to the forward part of the chassis.The engine and transmission absorb all the suspension feedback in this setup(Formula One and IndyCar do this). A semi-stressed engine uses the same suspension setup, but instead of a monocoque the engine is mounted to a rear subframe that relieves much of the stress from the suspension.

@DBoy02 thank you, define semistressed engine please. i think its lame that the chassis has nothing to do with the body shell anymore and the clothed body can simply be slapped on other tubular chassis. it no longer matter what 'car' each car is.

@KuostA Yes - Daytona Prototypes are tube-frame chassis(with some carbon-fiber crash-absorption components from what I understand) with semi-stressed engines. The Corvette DP bodywork can be put on any DP chassis(there will be Coyote, Dallara, and Riley chassis clothed in DP bodywork in 2012) that run the Chevrolet engine package.

That's sexy. so is it basically the 'look' of the vette on the body and not the actual chassis? is this a tubular chassis?
