I noticed along the seams and outer edges that you angled the screws whereas everywhere else you went straight down. Why the angle? Thank you.

Can you tell me the name of the caulking material used to stop squeaks (either generic or a brand) please. I have a whole ground floor that will be covered with a floating wooden floor and I want to do all I can to avoid squeaks. Thanks.

Good question. I wanted to make sure I got through the thick plywood, then the tongue and groove floor boards (you can see it on 45 degrees) then well into the stringers. The black caulking was actually a rubber type product that stops the squeak between the T & G. I also switched to the normal glue to ensure a good bond between the plywood and the floor boards. In the end not one squeak! Hurrah! The longer screws were very minimally more expensive and paid off....
