  • Very good. Did you ever think about a career as a modeler and texture'r??

  • lol, i wish dude.

  • Eric, which mouse do u use with modo, coz the mighty mouse has the accuracy issue when using with modo(for me). great tut..keep it up...thx.

I'm waiting for lighting studio setup & stuffs.....

  • i use a wacom

  • I don't use Modo or any modeling software so my question isn't for me but for others that may want to know.

What if you were making another model and cut out a diamond shape but want to maintain the shape instead of changing to a circle when sub-dividing it?

The reason I ask is because the diamond shape on your hinge converts to circles.

  • yes i know but i didnt want to spend time cutting my mesh to make it stay the shape.

  • @greenegsnham I agree, but you can change where it searches....

  • @harmor20 To help keep the shape, you would just add a few extra edges near the points of the diamond shape.

  • @matthew376 Spotlight is by far the worst search engine I've ever used. It searches inside everything (which can not be turned off) resulting in tons of invalid searches. On the macs at work I use a third party program for my searches so I can get the results I want, not a boat load of crap results.

And yeah, the whole Dock thing is also a joke. There is a very good reason why apple has such a small share of the Desktop computer market.

  • This is a slow and wastefull modeling process. If this had been built centered, you could have just cut it in half and mirrored one side, or even used symmetry. You basically spent 10 minutes to inset and extrude the ends of a cylinder.

  • Seriously what is the point in the dock when you have spotlight?

  • I think Eric just kind of organizes them in a way that he likes. I think he changes it a lot too... that seems like more than normal. =P

  • jesus how do you find anything at your dock there is abotu 60 icons lol
