PUBLIC DOMAIN - In 1970, debris from the 1908 Tunguska "meteor" are found which turn out to be recordings from a spaceship crashed there. The ship's origin is determined to be Venus, and an international team sets out with their spaceship "Kosmokrator" to visit the "Silent Planet", which is shrouded in clouds, and doesn't respond to contact attempts. While the "Kosmokrator" is in flight, the record is decoded and it turns out that the Venusians seemingly planned to invade Earth in 1908. Should the "Kosmokrator" still attempt to get in touch with the Aliens? And why are they silent now?
@wmg1958 this was an easter gemany production, they didn't need such sexy aliens, in ths particular piece hey decided to give a great story the benefit, besides the fact that Venus' atmospchere as far we know today didn't support such walks becuase of its pressure and acidous air ...
maybe you wanna check "in the dust of the stars" , another eastgerman scififlick with some similarities to H.G.Well's" Timemachine" but no competition to "Barbarella"

I don't understand...this is Venus, right? Where are the perfectly coiffed space women in glamorous evening wear and /or bathing suits, heels and full make-up who inhabit this planet?

@DoctorTG Didn't know there was a book. Was so inspired by the movie at age 7 or 8 I started writing my own version of it-- my first science fiction story.
