to get to know the person without the pressure of sex righ off the bat..I really dont see the con to being celibate at all..

Interesting. Even though my husband and I didn't wait until marriage, we did go through some long periods of abstaining during our courtship. We didn't live together before marriage. We didn't combine finances, I think it's different for every couple. Though I will say, I made a choice to be celibate before I started dating my husband because I made a conscious choice not to have give myself to anyone I was not going to marry.

I'm confused...so are you saying that ur definition of celibacy is just not having sex when your not in a relationship? Maybe I'm old school but I believe you only should have sex when in a relationship, otherwise I guess your doing the "friends with benefits things" or just having "fun" right? I'm 21, I'm a virgin...maybe I live in a fairytale world but I just refuse to give my body away to someone I don't intend to be married to. Not saying I'm waiting till my wedding night, but I won't just

Great vlog. One of the best I have seen on youtube. I think that celibacy is a personal choice its not for everyone. Since the future is sooo uncertain its hard to say what I will and will not do next week but I think that this is a good idea for someone who is not married and not dating or planning to date/marry for a long time.

This was a great video. I think you have a very realistic perspective. I have been celibate for a little over a year. I agree that everyone has their own reasons for choosing this lifestyle -- no right and no wrong. It's a personal decision.

I am not with the celibacy thing until marriage but I do feel women should respect their bodies and not give themselves to unworthy losers.
