Michael Gilman shares this simplified version of the Yang Style of Tai Chi Chuan. It contains all the essential energies of the Long Form, but leaves out the repeats and the foot kick section. Excellent form for beginners, or those with balance issues, or with less time for practice. Takes about 6 minutes to complete.
This first part shows the form from the rear for practice. It is then shown from the front, with some detail, from the rear again, then shown with correct breathing, and finally with a close look at the function of the Kua (hips).

  • Mr Gilman. Teaching my wife this form. Also still working on Long form (getting better at it). Feburary will be allocated for San Shou Form practice. No training partners left that have continued practice. but the form alone is of great help and slots into my TSE Eskrima techniques. In fact my Tacosa Eskrima instructor, Guro Richie Li has commented on how my recent Tai Chi practice has helped my Eskrima form since returning to Eskrma study!
