I've maintained for YEARS that the composers RAN OUT of logical note progressions in 1980 - this kinda supports that view...

  • @bigscott93, the music for 'Keep It Gay' was written for the 2001 musical of The Producers. This clip is from 1991.

  • I swear that "It's too Heavenly Here" from All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 sounds exactly like "I Can Show You the World" from Disney's Aladdin. Look it up, I swear it's true.

  • @meirasanya Yep!

  • @wulla2 You might be right, but didn't they say it was Bach?

"It's very easy, don't think it's strange. All you need is a good piece by Bach, and no one will know once you've made the odd change"

Wasn't that Don't Cry For Me Argentina?

  • @BigScott93 Agreed, but this song does pre-date the musical version of The Producers by at least a decade...

  • Try turning on the audio transcription. Rather entertaining.

  • Brilliant. Don't cry for me Argentina is another example - straight out of Brahms' first piano sonata.

  • Fabulous....spot on, boys!
