1945: The allies are making their final advance into German territory, and only one strategic bridge on the river Rhine remains in Nazi hands. Both sides have much to gain: the Germans the lives of 50,000 soldiers stationed on the wrong side of the bridge; and the Allies, a quicker end to the War with fewer lives lost. Though both armies would fight valiantly, only one could win the heart rending battle for Bridge At Remagen.

@TechnicalJaguar well the reality is all countries looted the dead. tank troops especially because they were the only guys who could store large amounts of stuff. the germans bought all kinds of crap in ww2 even if they didnt need it even stuff like horseshoes and varnish! so if you saw a shot up kubelwagen full of clothes, money, paintings, weapons, jewelery and silk stockings for your girl, wouldn't you do the same?

@1993heavenshallburn they did as the M2 carbine (upgraded M1) had full auto as well.
xXDieByTheSwordXx 1 month ago
@NickPilgrim91 the M2 carbine was introduced in '44 and even the M3 with its night vision scope saw service in okinawa. the M2 would have been widespread at the time depicted

@TechnicalJaguar At least the US didn't massacre hundreds of towns and villages.

@1993heavenshallburn
No that's a period incorrect M2 Carbine. An Automatic Carbine with adjustable sights and a bayonet lug. Developed late in the war but never issued in the ETO. More prominent In Korea and Early Vietnam. The Carbine used during WWII was the M1 Carbine.
