Thunderbolt 1000T Siren Test Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 1-7-2012

First off, i know we have a plenty of videos of this awesome thunderbolt, but this one is with the new radio. And siren seems to "growl" like hamilton county does with their sirens, but this was different and you can hear a 2001 or 2 do the same thing. Not sure why it rotates and blower kicks on first, then the rotator stops and chopper kicks on for a couple seconds. And alert portion caught me off guard as it was about 15 after 1, so wasnt expecting it to go off. But maybe im wrong about the "growl" theory, and sucks this thunderbolt doesnt have that classic sounding wind down anymore, but at least its still up :D

Here's my theory on the growl. If you watch any video of a 2001 doing a growl, it rotates for a few seconds then stops while the chopper spins up a little bit. Perhaps with the radio upgrade, it was wired up to do basically the same thing only with the blower and rotator wired together and the chopper separately.

@carexpertandy no idea, but bizarre. it was 1:06 when the "growl", then alert at around 1:15

@Siren1000T1 GPW only got one 2001 and the radio upgrade on the T-bolt.

That's stupid that GPW decided to do growl first then do the actual test.
