@semprecongusto I am Czech and I dont understand this too. For me it's nice to hear, that it's not just in our country where this excellent music is played. personally I prefer czech singers too, but its mostly because I can hear the language differences which are distracting me while listening but I completely understand that language is not an easy language to sing in.

Not approving, but miss Urbanova brought this on herself with her patronizing attitude. If you don't know about the 2 lame covers she did to Nightwish songs and her statements afterwards, go look them up.

Tarja is singing arias for fun but even so, and even if she is still not knowing Rusalka by heart (check at 3:00) her voice beauty is unmatched and she still is 10 levels of technique over this over inflated "diva"

I love Dvorak's music but I can't understand the explosion of musical nationalism that erupts on Youtube over Rusalka. Is it because Czechs live in a small landlocked country? Thank God I live in Canada where you can see the horizon on three big oceans. A black young woman from South Africa has won the prestigious Operalia award this year singing Italian arias. She will now sing in all the big opera houses of the world. What's the big deal about Czechs singing Rusalka?

nádhera! :-) ještě se mi strašně líbí verze Maite Itoiz, samozřejmě jakožto Španělka nemá dokonalou výslovnost (ale velmi dobrou!)

Treba si najrpv pozriet nahravku s Netrebko. Spieva falosne uz od druheho tonu. Flemming prezuva tony ako krava - evidentne problemy s jazykom, ale aj neprirodzeny sposob spevu zamerany na umely efekt. Urbanova spieva vynikajuco. Lucia Popp bola podla aj mna lepsia, vybavena emotivnejsim hlasom, a schopna maksich prechodov, ale po nej je Urbanova druha najlepsia interpretka.

Cely cas sa tu rozplyvate nad nejakou "pani urbanovou", s opernymi spevackami ako Renee Flemming, Maria Callas, Edita Gruberova, Lucia Popp alebo Diana Damrau sa nemoze rovnat, ani hlasom ani nicim inym......Urbanovu strci do vrecka aj Netrebko, ktora podla mna tretotriedna operna spevacka

@Eastwood51 Eva Who gave many acclaimed performances in Met, La Scala, Teatro de Colon, Royal Opera Covent Garden (to name just a few) and worked with many great conductors all over the world. So if you say "nobody knows her" you must most certainly be referring to people who know nothing about operatic world.
