Why didn't this make the finale?

Pacey and Andie were/are/always my favourite couple on Dawson's Creek. They had so much chemistry and they made each other want to be better. To this day, I still love them.

Agreed! Did you know the pro P/J ratio here is 95%? For every P/A fan here there are 19 P/J fans. Ridiculously bad! By the time the finale aired on the WB syndication rights had already been sold to TBS. Let's assume instead of the 95% here TBS gets 80% of the fan-base in syndication. TBS doesn't pay anything near what they for a that low a return & the WB doesn't give up billions in royalties. They HAD to cut this- P/A were by far the best; they just didn't get the fan support.

I still wish that at the end of the show Pacey and Andie would have gotten back together at some point. I stopped watching the show after they broke up. They were by far my favorite couple in the whole show.

why the fuck would they delete this? I personaly think the only reason is because the new fans of Dawsons Creek wouldn't know who she was. BUT she was such an important character on the show and Pacey has never had more chemistry with someone than Andie

@Crazygurl1211 Also I would like to add that I hate how they had him say stuff to Joey like "you were the only thing that made sense to me" How??? All he ever did was feel second best to Dawson. In the very last scene of DC J/P don't even look happy really. I hated the ended Joey belonged with Dawson and Pacey with Andie. I used to love Joey until the whole show became about her and loving her. Hell they should've called it Joeys Creek! Atleast P/A have the connection of being inlaws.

@Crazygurl1211 I very much agree with you. It really makes me sick to watch this and know how they screwed them up. You can never beat the perfection of Pacey and Andie in season 2, Pacey in my opinion was never happier than he was with Andie. I wish that they had brought her back in season 5 instead of adding Audrey and made him see what the right choice was. Season 2 happens and I wait all summer for season 3 and blam they are over!!! They should have ended up together!! Joey made him sad!

I think the reason this scene was deleted is that the moment between Pacey and Andie would have been too much of a threat to the validity of the P/J ending. They were initially planning to do a D/J ending, and Pacey and Andie were supposed to go off to dinner together with possibilities ahead, and this scene would have been a great setup for that. But with a P/J ending, this scene just had no place. It's a shame, really. I never thought P/J even compared to P/A, just a ratings stunt really.
