MTH O Scale - Weathering My First Engine

So I have finally got the hang of weathering btw the freight cars and tracks- now the "big momma" needs to be weathered. For the trucks I used flat brown paint- then i shaved black and brown pastel chalk. I used a brush and patted the chalk then brushed it on the trucks covered it with black first then a little bit of brown- remember you dont want it to look too rusty- just a work horse lol the body used brown to represent dirt some black for grease. Black on the vents. Both colors on the roof. Its still not finished- have to dullcote it and weather the vents a little more! Thanks enjoy! Good luck on everyones layout- eventually a weathering vid will be made!!

VERY NICE work Joe !!! Love the job you did, not overkilled, looks just right... I'm going to stick with practicing on rolling stock more before I even think of weathering Locos... You really got it down pat my friend... BRAVO !!!

thanks guys!- yeah it took me a while to actually say lets do it lol in my update ill show you guys the rolling stock and the top of the locomotive along with the million of other things i gotta talk about!! i appreciate it a lot thanks guys!! good luck on ur layouts!
