I love Starscream he is my favorite Transformers character. Now he is a bit of a oddball, but seriously the guy never quits, yes he is a coward in one way, but on the other side he tries, tries and tries again to get rid of the giant robot with the big cannon and that takes guts. But if you are going to make him cry why make the tears blue. There are some examples of Cybertronians crying energon which would be purple, or shedding other fluids like oil, but not water based tears.
