  • The premise of Lee Dorren's argument is wrong. The Billions of dollars that have been given to Africa have actually resulted in wide-spread corruption in African governments. Most of the aid money has ended up in the hands of bureaucrats who are unaccountable to the people. The nation of Zaire was said to be so corrupt that there was almost no chance of creditors getting their money back if they offered any loans.

  • The pursuit of happiness isn't so difficult; just look on the bright side. But the pursuit of the truth must allow for a range of emotions.

  • I think the principle is, "give a man a fish... teach a man to fish..."

Lee never said, "anything you do to help someone else ultimately hurts them in the long run." That's your strawman. You seem to not understand that there are different ways to help people. Charity is good for short term. You're gonna starve tommorow? Here, have a sandwich. While you're enjoying that sandwich, let's make it so you won't need one from me again. It's a simple principle.

  • If you sent someone food, they'll starve. If you send them money, they'll only grow poorer. If you love someone you destroy them. It is perfectly, simple, John.

  • @j0hnwi11iams Of course it will. They are trying to develop, but they would need to "pollute" the earth to do it. I am not saying India and China would not suffer greatly. As they would. Everyone would

  • I'm not a birther. I don't care where he was born. I was talking about lying about who he is politically, he said he'd govern from the center, instead he governs from the extreme left, he promised transparency. Yet he Reid,Pelosi, are buying(literally) votes behind closed doors. He vowed to point out those guilty of pork barrel spending. He claimed he would control spending instead he adds 1 trillion to the deficit. And none of THAT has anything to do with where he was born.

  • I should have figured you are a hard core birther who will never admit what a waste of time that whole fake issue is. You hold a position deserving of ridicule.

  • You are claiming that action to contain carbon emissions will harm Africa. I am telling you carbon cap and trade are the least of Africa's problems. India and China stand to suffer the most.

  • Really? I'm stupid? Wow. And of course you've demonstrated your intellectual superiority by hurling insults(proving your utter lack of debating skill and serious lack of intelligence on your part) .The fact is, he was adopted by his Kenyan grandfather thus losing US citizenship even if he was born in Hawaii. I noticed you didn't adress my other points nor any of my points for that matter. Because you can't. That's fine, I address facts, you hurl insults.

  • . Your first sentence was very much diffrent then your last one. Hmmm are you trying to mislead everyone. You seem to be mixing up causes and effects exactly what you accused HTWW of doing.

  • China and India complaining about having to reduce emissions. War and Armed Conflict is the leading cause of poverty in Africa.

  • China complaining? Really? That must be why they aren't doing anything that is "green". As I said before the problem doesn't even exist. No you must not now alot about Africa. The big reason why Africa was poor is Geography. Then it stays poor thanks to truth deniers. For a problem that again doesn't exist.
