The City Schools Division of the City of Naga in partnership with Microdata Systems and Management, Inc. has successfully launched the SANAKO Study 1200 Program in Don Placido L. Señor National High School last November 13.
Study 1200 allows teachers to incorporate Internet and IT resources into language learning, and offers voice and text-based communication tools to help students interact as much as possible in the target language, with the teacher as well as with their peers. To maintain control of this exciting interactive learning environment, Study 1200 puts a number of classroom management and student monitoring resources into teachers hands - they remain at the centre of learning!
Sanako Study 1200 is designed for intensive listening and voice-based activities. Its digital recorder allows for the playback of material for activities such as listening comprehension, and also allows students to record their voices for activities such as model imitation, reading practice and mark-to-speak drills. Along with the student voice graph which maps voice intonation and inflexion, these activities support student self-evaluation and -correction.
