On 02Dec05 I took my VTX motorcycle to the San Antonio Raceway (Texas). We ran the 1/4 mile in 11.3 seconds at 115mph with a 1.57 60 foot time.

  • I would have to agree lets see some raw footage.

I also agree that the 109's looks are a bit off but I guess it is what you want speed or style. My Vtx is fast enough for me:)

  • Yes this seems to be a much requested item: "raw footage". Given the cheap camera I was using I was lucky to get night shots period.

The video was not about proving the final results as much as it was about the experience of drag racing and getting ready for it. It is everything that leads up to the race and afterwards that contributes to this total experience. Next time I'll include this raw footage.

  • What kind of mods did you do to pull those numbers?

  • typical head work, cams, new style intake manifold and exhaust. Used a PCIII to dial in the A/F ratio. Currently rebuilding the motor targeting low 10's.

  • Hi, I know it is some time from last post but does any body know what type of seat is it? I would like to by seat for my VTX 1800 but cant find the rifht one... Thank you !

  • that head light off a m109? i like the look

  • I have an 07 VTX 1800 F that I put on the Dyno machine at a local HD shop last summer, best run was an 11 sec 1/4 mile @ 120 MPH at 110 HP .... STOCK

  • is it possible to put a camry engine in a ferrari?

  • Love the bike, love the song... great vid!

  • is it posible to put a sportbike engine on a M109R?

  • Also, not trying to argue but the M109R only runs low 12's in factory trim. And thats if you get a good launch and hit all your shifts right. Ask me how I know.. LOL. Dont matter both the m1098R and VTX are both great machines. Pretty equal if you ask me.

  • no worries

  • I must have responded to your comment by mistake. I was trying to respond to one on the next page. Sorry for the confusion.

  • Who said anything about 9's? The VTX and M109 will most likely (if they're 50% stock or more) never see those kind of times. And yeah it does run mid - upper 11's stock. My old boss was routinely in the 11's on his 109R. Depends on the rider. VTX is a quick bike, i was just sayin, m109 is faster off the showroom floor.
