He used different words on different stops on the tour. I saw him in London and Hamilton and this poem had different words both times.

Is this poem written in any of his books of poetry? I am only familiar with his music, never read his novels or poems.

Yes it is from the Book of longing, the poem A thousand Kisses Deep in it is very close
to what he recites in concert

I saw him live in Aus a few months ago, it was the most moving experience ive ever had. This poem makes me cry everytime.

His use of words is so out of this world

I saw him when I was young :-) I am 53 now adn I always loved mr Cohen But since he lived on MNT Baldy and Buddhism replaced his life long depression he seems so at ease with himself and his audience I hope he will live to be 100 years old
