I Just Want You To Know // Chapter 42

The next morning when Xavier woke up, Tyler was sitting up and looking forward at the tv. She had it turned down really low so it wouldn't wake him. Focused on the story, she was sitting chris- cross apple sauce holding the remote in her hand. He sat up and kissed her bare shoulder, his shirt was too big and it had slid down her arm some. He wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her shoulder.

Xavier- *sleepily* good morning
Tyler- good morning *smiles and looks at him*
Xavier- why are you up so early?
Tyler- I couldn't go back to sleep
Xavier- *nods*
Tyler- I didn't want to wake you up so I just started watching tv
Xavier- what's happened so far?
Tyler- nothing important just celebrity drama
Xavier- as always
Tyler- mhm tell me about it
Xavier- you looked so out of it when I first looked at you, were you thinking about something?
Tyler- yea
Xavier- what?
Tyler- just stuff
Xavier- like...?
Tyler- remember when you told me why Nate didn't like you?
Xavier- yea
Tyler- well I was just thinking about how he felt now
Xavier- probably the same but deeper
Tyler- *nods* I thought so too
Xavier- but that's just typical Nate
Tyler- has he always been this way?
Xavier- no he changed a lot in middle school and high just topped it off
Tyler- but why did he just forget about your friendship?
Xavier- I was never really a "cool" kid I was just normal and so was Nate, but to him that wasn't good enough. And when things started falling apart for him he realized how much he wanted to be normal like me and he got jealous
Tyler- did he tell you that?
Xavier- *nods* he came to my house a couple days after his dad passed away and just broke down but a few weeks later he was back to normal, same old Nate
Tyler- how did his dad die?
Xavier- he was at the office late one night and he heard some noises. He went to check on it and when he did he got shot in the chest. He passed away the next morning at the hospital
Tyler- that's so sad
Xavier- I know and it rocked Nate's world. His dad was his best friend and he was there for him no matter what
Tyler- *looks down and sighs* wow
Xavier- *nods*
Tyler- can I ask you something?
Xavier- sure
Tyler- where's your dad at? I mean you never talk about him
Xavier- *sighs* my dad died when I was three, he was in the military, they were ambushed and he along with four other men didn't make it
Tyler- I'm so sorry
Xavier- *pulls her close* it's ok I remember him a little but not a lot
Tyler- is he the reason Logan is in the military?
Xavier- yea they were really close *smiles*
Tyler- *looks up at him and kisses his cheek* I bet ya'll would have been too
Xavier- I know we would have, my mom says were just alike
Tyler- *smiles*
Xavier- *lays back and pulls her with him*
Tyler- *lays her leg over his and rests her head on his chest*
Xavier- *strokes her hair* I'm really sorry
Tyler- *looks up at him* for what?
Xavier- I promised you I would never lay a hand on you unless we were married, and I broke that promise. So... I'm sorry
Tyler- it's ok
Xavier- *nods*
Tyler- I'm just glad it was with you and not someone else
Xavier- *smiles* me too
Tyler- *rubs his chest and kisses him*
Xavier- *grips her side and kisses*
Tyler- *pulls the covers over them*
Xavier- *runs his hand over her arm to her chest*
Tyler- *looks up at him*
Xavier- *smirks*
Tyler- *smiles and rolls over on her stomach*
Xavier- *kisses her back and lays his head on her shoulder*
Tyler- *mumbles* I'm so tired
Xavier- I know, me too
Tyler- my back hurts too *giggles softly*
Xavier- *smiles* what did you to it?
Tyler- I think it was from the way I was laying in the truck
Xavier- oh
Tyler- *closes eyes* I'm going to sleep
Xavier- *hugs her and whispers in her ear* I love you
Tyler- I love you too
