@dcdz1 This song was actually a hit, albeit not as big as The Grassroots, first. As the cover eclipsed this I would tell people the song was by the Evergreen Blues and hardly anyone believed me. Vindication!

Great sound of the 60's. Believe it or not they are still out there and in the studio. Manny, Sam and others from the original group. It would make a great story to be told if only someone could put it together.

@reallyrarestuff thanks!

Would like to see "Yesterdays Comin" posted if someone can do it.

Grassroots version was good but this original is the best and should've been the hit. Story goes that the GR heard this version and asked their producer to do it. The rest is history. EGB version cooked! GR just copied it note for note.

I used to have the Mercury 45 with the picture sleeve, complete with fan club info. I love The Grass Roots' version, but the original COOKS! Thanks for sharing this!

I remember these guys. Rick Barrio on lead guitar, Joe McSwain on Bass. Some of them went to Cantwell.

I was on an upbeat show with these guys.....
Where did you find this? I'd love to get the mp3...

Thanks for listening and commenting! I've waited years for some of this stuff to be posted on YT but finally gave in and decided to upload it myself.
