UPDATE: December 12, 2008 A Shark Commits Suicide As reported by Fox, TMZ, and other media sources a shark at the Atlantis committed suicide on this ride. The reef shark jumped from the aquarium onto this ride and wound up at the shallow pool and died due to the chlorination in the water. About 30 seconds into the video you can see the only opportunity where the shark can have a chance to jump on the ride. I guess The Atlantis isn't kidding about swimming with the sharks. This all took place before the ride opened for the day. No guests were harmed.
