I'm playing/singing 'Acabou Chorare' (Moraes Moreira/L. Galvão/Os Novos Baianos). The album (by the same name) is without a doubt one of the five greatest albums ever recorded.

galvão/moraes wrote this song, inspired by joão's daughter, bebel gilberto. it's a little bit like a modern nursery rhyme.

Is really funny how this song team with your accent! You know the history behind this song? They(Novos Baianos) make they song to João Gilberto daughter, when she was very young she couldnt speak portuguese so well(because she born in a mix of portuguese/spanish). Bebel Gilberto said 'acabou chorare' to João Gilberto, whats mean 'im okay, you dont really have to worry about me'
