stronger defense doesn't mean you stay have military bases in countries we have diplomatic ties with. sure alliances are great, but to occupy Germany and Japan for the last 60+ years doesn't mean our defense are stronger. it's costlier when we have bases overseas and not even on US territory.

Ron Paul advocates bringing ALL troops home back on US soil where the defense is essential.
