You are not alone if you've contemplated suicide.

Like it or not, mental illness including depression resulting in suicide is a major problem with Jehovah's Witnesses.

This is a JW Media Films Production and is mirrored on my channel with thier permission.

  • My dad was a 2nd generation JW and committed suicide at the age of 42 in 1992. I have done a lot of research on this topic and this video is accurate.

  • I'm a former JW and can attest to the fact that this video is 100% correct.

  • Which statistics do you base your argument on?

  • Oh and one last thing, This video watch?v=UrBXTvuAT1g&feature=related Is full of shit, The person who did " research " never passed peer reviews, nor did they schedule to have their "research" verified by actual "scientists", If anything, this topic of information has nothing to do with science and you're an idiot if you believe anything that video ( and to the people watching this video ) says.

    Exiled Out

  • Oh, and by the way, I'm an atheist.

Well, actually I'm defined as anti-theist, Religion poisons everything it touches.

And I guess I'll be hypocritical for a moment and say that's absolutely true if jehovas witnesses are committing suicide at a higher rate and by some stroke of luck you ARE correct, that just goes to show that jehovas witnesses are no more safer than anyone else, and are not granted special privileges or knowledge.

  • Out of 100 calls a day, 70+ suicides are either stalled, or stoppped due to conversations or negation of suicidal thoughts.

Wikipedia defines suicide as a violent act against ones-self to inflict bodily injury or death, Mostly commonly associated with manic depressiveness due to the stresses of life, In which the stress-e takes their life to relieve themselves of "problems"

Religion plays no part, and there is no evidence, or cited information as of now in regards to JW'S suicide rates.

  • When suicides happen, the protocol does not include information regarding their religious background and 3 out of 3 people when asked if religion plays a part in their suicide, answer negative on that pressing and utterly pointless issue.

There are, nationally, 1,700 suicides a day.

    3,190 attempts.

Males go through with suicide more often.

Women contemplate and attempt suicide more often.

1/10th of all suicides are inflicted self-proquo ( With the help of someone )

    6/10 Are because of debt.

  • I found out information personally from samaritans suicide national information agency.

You did a 6/10 job making this video.

There is NO relevant information regarding the suicide rates amongst jehovas witnesses, your assumptions are inaccurate and incorrect without verifiable and cited documentation from any VETS / CRSS hotline or website.

Either call the commonwealth of massachusetts suicide information, The South dakota suicide information agency, or the Ohio suicide database.

  • AHAHAHAHAHHAHAA this is the funniest video!!!!!!! So dramatic....just look at the username ....explains. Your facts are so funny and incorrect!!!

  • @Pwyrdan no im serious.i know alot of witnesses and they r my friends my only freinds at school im invisible. i have no friends at school all my frineds are in the congregation

  • @CreddiesugarlandFan , I hope you aren't serious. I was an active Witness until I was 25, and I have personally known three Witness friends and acquaintences who committed suicide, two in my childhood, and one three years ago. Others I know, myself included, attempted it while associated with the organization. The guilt and pressure to perform, especially to a child who doesn't know any better, are incredible. They leave a lot of trauma.
