I've been in that catcher's shoes before: a big guy trying to score gets out after I held on to the ball. The best part was the entire opposing baseball team was made up of high school football players.

I'm a licensed umpire up to the high school level, and this play is illegal on the runners part. a runner can continue straight through the catcher, but may not lower his shoulder. i would call the runner out, and give him a warning, with another of the same situation by this same player resulting in an ejection.

@gak831 if the catcher is in the baserunner's path, which he clearly is & if I was a coach (which I am) I would tell my kid to do the same thing the runner did in this video, and YES IT IS PART OF THE GAME...teaching a catcher how to protect himself on a truck at the plate is part of a good coaches agenda and when taught properly you get a good play by a catcher, like the one in this video.
