could you guys (or anyone) tell me if its correct that you place the screen directly onto the paper while printing? or do you leave a space? and what paint and paper do you use for the best results?

I have a question in case you in fact check this - but in the video your films don't look like films, but they look like black prints on white paper?? is this the case? or is it just coming off that way in the video... i ask because I'm having some trouble getting good stencils with a one-pot emulsion, and I think it's an issue with my films...
