Differences threaten Gaza reconstruction - 02 Mar 09

Israel's 22-day offensive on the Gaza Strip has left a trail of destruction.
Rebuilding is an enormous project, now being done with little money, a few tools and no organization.
But as bn of dollars are being pledged to fund the reconstruction efforts, Israeli blockade is still in effect.
Al Jazeera's Todd Baer reports from Gaza City.

Incendiary weapons are not exactly a complex military technology.  A piece of wood burning at one end is an incendiary weapon. Entire villages have been torched using nothing more than cigarette lighters. Even Napalm is just a jelled form of gasoline (aka petrol).

The Chinese first discovered how to make gunpowder. And (to their great credit, IMHO) the first impulse of these Chinese was to use gunpowder in public fireworks displays, for visual delight - and not to create more lethal weapons.

do you have proof? how can that be so about muslims when it is forbidden for us to kill people by fire. And historically europe has been more military and more advanced in developing weapons. even before the first world wars, look at european history and how bloody it was and colonialism by the spanish, british, french etc. the natives they encountered almost could never match them in weaponry

Am I complaining about the way how palestinians are reacting? It wasn't your opinion they should be considered a wmd you said they were in that in your opinion they were wmd. If I had a choice I would choose bullet but then again tracer bullet can start fires and can burn you anyways, when your hit by a bullet they are hot as hell and will burn you. Every region of the world has given special attention to the field of weapon that are incendiaries.

that was neven my claim. i meant that in my opinion white phosphorous should be considered a wmd, but this argument is fruitless. the point is that killing over 1000 civilians is wrong, even if they werent all civilians. who cares what weapons they used. actually would u prefer being burned to death or shot with a bullet? in islam its forbidden to burn people. its a horrible way to die. i was merely commenting on the special attention the west has given to the field of weaponry
