"I would love to hear what Mr Cameron proposes as an alternative"? How about "Democracy"? I don't see why the UK should marginalize its entire population simply to appease its overly vocal and spoiled Islamic supremacist members. If Muslims feel that they have to become even more hateful and xenophobic if they don’t get their way, be my guest. I can only assume that the rest of the diverse and non-Muslim UK population with only end up hating Islam even more than they do now.

Most non-muslims in the West do not have problems with 'eccentric uncles' who bring a foreign flavour to a society in general. That can be an enrichment.
What they dó have a problem with are thóse 'eccentric uncles' that ideally want to change an Open Democracy into an Islamic State under Islamic Law.
Those who are homophobic, don't understand the freedom of critizing religion, have problems with apostasy, can't separate Mosque and State, form separate enclaves, try to ban alcohol etc.
