Smashed Thumb Blood Drained Explosion

This guy got his thumb smashed between one of Rod Stewarts roadcases and the wall. Two days later we operated on the thumb. We heated a paper clip until red hot and went through the nail to relieve the built up pressure.

If you make two holes it is easier to drain it because the pressure is equalized. Kind of like when you make two holes in a juice can to make pouring easier.
