What can your hands accomplish?

There are a couple of stories about the pictures I put at the end of this film:

Gregory J. Smith established the Children at Risk Foundation (CARF) in Norway in 1992 and in Brazil in 1993. He lived with children on the street and helped them by offering an alternative home and lifestyle. Since it began, the organization has created Street Migration Prevention Programme to help vulnerable, at risk, and abandoned street children. Many children have been given a second chance with life through these programs.

Mary Ann Finch is the director of the San Francisco Care Through Touch Institute (CTI). They offer massage therapy (even just washing feet sometimes) to those living on the margins of society in that area. "This work is not about massage as we have come to know it in the traditional sense. This work is about the power of touch--touching not just the aches and pains, but touching inside a person to that place where they have been wounded by abuse or isolation."

The poem "The Touch of the Master's Hand" was written by Myra Brooks Welch
The music is an adaptation of 'Rondeau' from Abdelazar by Henry Purcell

  • Simple yet beautiful. Mmm Beautiful yet simple. yup simply beautiful! :) Gudday!

  • This is the version for the movie "Pride and Prejudice", the piece is called "Letter to Purcell". Mr. Darcy and Lizzie dance to this piece... I get goosebumps remembering the scene...

  • Where did you find the song Rondeau? I love this version of it.

  • yur soooo ryt lol

  • I work with the homeless and those at risk of becoming so. It's seeing society's discarded, in their rags and bones, come to realize that they are creatures Bestowed with infinite value that sparks my passion for what I do. This spoke of that very movingly. Thank you so much. BTW, I just subscribed to your channel. I hope that's ok.
