The classic Skyhooks line-up, reformed for a show at the Melbourne Concert Hall to celebrate Victoria's 150th birthday, Nov 17 1984.

I'm not sure if this was the only song they performed, but it was the only one telecast.

  • Was this telecast to Hey Hey?

  • @genericgeorge I don't think so - as I recall, it was a special telecast of the Vic 150 show.

  • Awesome! I never knew this existed. Thanks for making it available.

  • As a Melbourne teenager of the 70s I could so relate to the hooks.

    Carlton Edge Of City.

  • there were so many great bands in Oz at this time, but what can you say about Shirl and the Hooks? Nobody summed up the mood of the times better than this band!

  • It's a bit duskier up that side of town now:-)

  • F#$K Red can play that thing............Not a good song for yiu babe!!

  • RIP Shirl!

  • love the fact that Bongo cannot keep still for the whole song. He's either moving his left, running around like a headless chook or moving his head lol
