I researched to confirm if this is from today or not considering the size of the crowd is largest recorded yet today. Here is what I determined:

Searched through all the YouTube video for "Vali Asr" and "ولی عصر" (Farsi) from the past month, there are no other identical clips of this relative length. Also, most clips of Vali Asr from earlier protests show people holding signs or pictures, there are none in this video. Considering these are not campaign sanctioned protests today (7/9) , the lack of signs is appropriate with the level of spontaneity/organization. So unless I missed the video or this is a clip edited out of a larger clip (unlikely) - there is a reasonably good probability considering the location and crowd makeup/appearance that this video is from July 9th 2009. Please only repost videos if you correctly source their location, date, and original video link (when it is safe to do so) - do not blind repost videos, and if there is already a well sourced copy of the video on YouTube, do not post again - just distribute the link to the original video - we need to keep the Iran videos better focused and the information better sourced so media outlets can have an easier time confirming dates and locations. Videos without descriptions or attribution make this much more difficult. Thanks!
