With apologies to MartialHorror for the title. Yes, people, this commentary is so big I'm counting it as two. Both parts can be found here.

Part 1 (where I talk about the Once Upon A Forest review): http://blip.tv/thatguyinthecape/shinobi-s-commentaries-22-critiquing-a-critic...

Part 2 (where I talk about the Little Nemo review): http://blip.tv/thatguyinthecape/shinobi-s-commentaries-23-critiquing-a-critic...

  • Also, as a fan of both the comic, and the videogame and the movie, I gotta say I have a theory on the waking up bit: The comic always ends with Nemo waking up when things get hectic beyond all belief, so he's still bound to that rule, but when he broke his promise, he was bound to Slumberland, so he woke up in his bed, like always, but didn't really wake up.

  • @battybuddy I've been "busy" getting Blip to accept a new video, if that's what you mean.

  • @shinobiflare Well both showed up fine with me...

  • @battybuddy Not this commentary, another one. You'll see.

  • @TheStingOfRadiation He didn't say that he liked Watership Down for its message (or hated Once Upon a Forest for it, but the environmental movie clichés and problems he believed to have found).

  • @CHCHuser First, he never said, in NC's commentary, that he liked AoSTH, only that he didn't hate it. Second, he liked Ren and Stimpy because he thought it had better characters and was funny. Third, he's not afraid pointing out positive aspects of something, whether the film was good or not, something he, ironically, did with both these reviews. I'm not trying to bash you (or anyone) here, just be reasonable.

  • Can you please do a commentary on his AoStH review? He loves Ren and Stimpy for being random, but hates AoStH for being random. He also says in his commentary that he likes the show. How can you say that you hate something in your review, but then say you love it in your commentary? He should either love or hate it. Also I agree with you, Doug is afraid to give a positive review on a movie or a show. Not only does it show that he's a sell out, but also a coward.

  • @BlazeTheMovieFan Well Back To The Future was pretty good, the sequels had hit or miss parts but I guess there's not enough material to work with. Like the Arnold commando movie was one of the few films he reviewed which was a good film and he mostly reviews the ones that aren't that great.

  • (Continued from previous comment.)

Most of his jokes were as you said horrible, and he gave no good reasons to bash the movie.

I just hope he won't cover the Back to the Future trilogy.

  • I didn't watch your commentary on Once Upon a Forest as I haven't seen the movie and don't want spoilers, but I did watch your commentary on Little Nemo, and I gotta say this.

Little Nemo was my fucking childhood, I watched it a lot as a kid, and after seeing your commentary I'm convinced NC is just fishing for something to hate and talks out of his ass.

    (Continued in the next comment.)

  • @shinobiflare what did you think about his old vs new of true grit?

  • Well done on both of them, Eli. You broke NC like a pencil.

I hope mine will be just as good
