13x20 cribbage board modeled in Aspire. Roughed with a 1/4" ballnose at 240ipm, finish with a 1/16" ballnose at 220 ipm. Drilled holes with a 1/8" DRILL at a 50ipm plunge. Cut out was a climb cut at 120ipm with a 0.01" allowance, with a conventional cut at full depth. I mis-measured the thickness of the starting piece and the tabs were cut through on the climb cut. This resulted in the final cut to dislodge and ruin the 3.5 hour cut and send it to the firewood pile.

I learned once again to measure twice, cut once. It still applies on the CNC!

  • Yeah sometimes it is easier to do nothing. CNC can be frustrating - the second on turned out very nice. It's just a bummer that you cut for 3 + hours and with 30 seconds left in the cutout it ruins all that work!

    Thanks for the comments
