one thing i respect about Kirk is that instead of going the way of a lot of other child actors, drugs, alcohol ect. he chose a spiritual path. it would be nice if there were more positive role models like Kirk out there.

@TinaMichelle74 Ooof.. that`s a scary sentence; 'he chose a spiritual path' What a way of saying it, as Kirk is very specific. He is a christian and follows Jesus; which is the Only Way. Other ways are not spiritual. And God has the choice, not people. So you sentence has to be; 'He discovered Jesus and followes Him' Any other way isn`t spiritual.

What a shame we don't have shows like this on tv no more. Allan is right now days you have shows or kids on one channel and adult show on others. Case in point Nickelodeon, Disney and ABC Family just to name a few. Times have changed I used to watch all these shows growing up. I'm 36 now and still watch the reruns. But I'm a real bad reality show junkie. Miss the family shows wish they can come back.

the show was absolutely big in china back in the early 90s, and it's not true that only two american shows were allowed in china at the time, a lotta american shows were aired in china back in the early 90s, but not so many sitcoms. Growing pains was actually the very first sitcom idea presented to the chinese ever !
