He was fired for being a Fox contributer. He was trading in his credibility of being a credible reporter for cash paid by Fox, a station looking for credibility. NPR was being used and was looking for an excuse to dump this toxic asset. Of course Fox is going to play this up.

@PrisonerNumber9653 there is the clarity, thank you.. I NEVER said he was fired for being nervous.. and keep up the name calling and I'll block you.. and any more racists comments as well and you'll be blocked.

@kkp5200 Saying you're nervous because there are Muslims on an airplane, implying they are ALL terrorists, IS horrible. It's like saying "I'm nervous parking my car around black people, you know how they like to steal hubcaps". It was a viciously bigoted comment. To IGNORE the bigotry and just focus on "nervousness" shows an incredible lack of integrity and honesty on your part. He was NOT fired for being nervous, idiot. He was fired for MANY reasons, including bigotry, and he deserved it.

@PrisonerNumber9653 saying your nervous is horrible I guess..... everyone that says that should be fired. pretty sad.

@kkp5200 Getting nervous going outside is a ridiculous comparison, that's not a bigoted comment and doesn't contribute to hate of people because of their religious faith. It's a ridiculous LIE to claim NPR "toes the line" (or tows, whatever that means) for any party, and the most pathetic BS of all is the right's new stunt, "you're not tolerant unless you tolerate my intolerance!"
By the way, these comments WERE horrible, but NOT the only reason Williams was canned.
Unfortunately, Juan Williams has a point.
It was Muslims that attacked us on 9/11.
