I've been toying with this idea for awhile now, but couldn't find the right song for the second half.
When Kat gets up the courage to dive again, she injures herself. This causes Kimberly to pull away even more from gymnastics, which also affects her ranger duties.
The ending is a bit more optimistic than I had hoped, but I just had to get the idea out of my head, since it's getting crowded up there.
