Garner Ted Armstrong (February 9, 1930 - September 15, 2003) was an American evangelist and the son of Herbert W. Armstrong, founder of the Worldwide Church of God, at the time a Sabbatarian organization that taught strict observance of a seventh-day sabbath, holy days typically associated with the Jewish faith, and other observances derived from the Old Testament scriptures.

Armstrong initially became recognized when he succeeded his father as the voice of "The World Tomorrow," the church's radio program that aired around the world. A television program of the same name followed, aired mostly in North America, eventually giving way to a "Garner Ted Armstrong" broadcast, a half-hour program that mixed news and biblical commentary. His polemical message was unlike most other religious broadcasters of his day

Yes Science has answers and Mathematics has answers. But the bible has the answer to the condition of mans soul and the answer to re unite humanity with its creator .

Just like 1 plus 1 will always be 2. The spiritual laws contained in the bible concerning salvation through Jesus Christ will never Change.

I am one not to hold to either view. My belief is the final nations to be head up by anti Christ will be the enemy Countries of Israel. Such as Iran , Syria and the surrounding Muslim nations. I believe that a Muslim will appoint leaders to the Muslim nations to stabilize the middle east and world. A possible candidate working at this is Bashar Al Assad.

Here are some problems with the Bible:

Creation took place only 6000 years ago , the universe is 4.5 billion years old, What took God so long?, Why choose the Jews and discriminate others? Jesus keeps forgiving yet the Bible speaks of hell also. A LOVING GOD???

The Bible is full of confusion, were it not so its message would be clear to all. Christ does not appear to have come as a God or to die for us : "I have come as a witness.."

Ref. GTA a false prophet ! too many wrong predictions made...

The bible is not specific on a NUMBER of years when creation took place. The message is one of Salvation through Christ and that by him and through him (JESUS) all things came into being.

Then number is not important the fact that Creation implies Creator and that the bible states that Jesus created all things is what remains.

The bible is only confusing to those who look for confusion. If you looking for ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ then Clarity is revealed through the Spirit. Hopefully those seeking will do more than taste the Gifts of the spirit and Recieve Gods Grace through Faith in Christ to become Born Again a New Creature in Christ never to be separated from Gods love and knowing they have Eternal Life NOW.

@platnumslayer7 I'm not quite sure what you mean by TD vs. evol., but if you are talking about the 2nd law, I think you are under the common misunderstanding and incomplete understanding of the law, which pertains to only closed systems, not to the Earth, which is not a closed system. It does not take any faith to believe in evolution. In fact it doesn't matter one bit if one believes or doesn't believe in evolution, there are many examples which establish its scientific validity

@platnumslayer7 Actually, evolution has very clearly recorded, tested and observed scientific material proof. And it's not just the fossil record, but but many other things, such the geographical distribution of species, the dna sequences, etc. It is highly observable and it's applications are used everyday, antibiotics being the biggest example.

@SKYSPLASH To be very honest, I think the bible is not confusing to only those who purposefully ignore the confusions and the contradictions and the absurdities so prevalent in it.

@SKYSPLASH Even there, there are so many contradictions in stories, in teachings, about what to do. So many things which are frankly appalling, like things about slavery and genocide. Contradictions between Jesus saying that he is fulfilling the law, but doing many things quite contrary to the law. As an outsider, I don't know which one takes significance, the old or the new testament. Even regarding the resurrection, all four gospels paint a different picture.

@SKYSPLASH I have to disagree with you about the confusion aspect. I am not a Christian, never was, but did my schooling in a Christian School, so was introduced to Chirstian thoughts and teachings at a young age - academically. And then out of interest, I started reading the bible. First and foremost, there are so many different versions, each one claiming to the be the correct version, that it is impossible to speak on a single copy. I ended up reading the KJV.

GTA struggled with adulterous drives. He went from committing actual adultery to simply making an improper overture to a masseuse, a woman whose profession has a heavy history of attracting inappropriate overtures. So he had a weak moment. So did Jimmy Swaggart. So did Jim Bakker and his struggle with greed. Frailty does not invalidate doctrine, or we could no longer believe in the Bible or any doctrine associated with it, official or unofficial. GTA managed to make an impression.

All one needs to know is that GTA was caught masterbating in a massage parlor after having fornicated students while "minister" at the now defunct Ambassador College. His father, Herbert Armstrong, committed incest, meaning he fornicated his own daughter, Dorothy, as reported in his divorce trial in 1984 (See 5/17/84 editiion of Tulsa World Newspaper). The name Armstrong couldn't be more opposite to morals. It's as simple as that.

@enniopat Bible authority can be proven. the book of daniel has come to pass exactly as said and the revelation whore already identefied plainly. You seem to be hostile toward churchianity not christianity. THE "THEORY" of Evolution can be disproved completely. Thermodynamics Vs evolution anyone? LOL. You attack the bible but seem not to have truly read it, especially if you believe the pagan doctrine of hell. It takes Greater faith to believe in evolution than God.
