QuickContact is a useful web app that will allow you to create contact app icons on your homescreen for quick calling. If you visit the link below on your iOS device, it will take you to the QuickContact homepage. Here you can add a name/label for a contact, phone number, and even choose and icon you wish to appear. After you are done filling in and choosing, you can tap "create" and it will take you to an install profile page. Go ahead and install the profile(no private information will be stored) and then you will be taken back to your Springboard. As you can see, now you have an app icon for the contact which you chose. You can go ahead and tap that icon and it will open Safari and prompt you if you would call that contact. This makes it easy to call people quickly right off your homescreen without the requirement of a Jailbreak.
