How to simulate a camera perspective in a Pro engineer animation. This tutorial offers one solution to the problem but there could be many others. Sorry for the crapy video quality...

  • I have a problem. I can only make animations of a very short length. It seems that the animation length is limited to only 10 sec.

Does anyone know how to extend the time, so I can make long animations?

  • @kimbni double click on the timeline, a menu will pop up with setting you can play with.

  • I get stuck when talking because the language of my Pro engineer is French and the verbal is english. So i some time have trouble translating my thoughts

  • I have made animation, but with rotating propeller. When I export animation with photolux render, the shadow on the floor is steady and is not rotating as propeller. I saw that on your rim animation you have same problem - did you resolved this issue somehow?

  • That darn shadow... took a couple of hours to render to! I haven't try to find the problem but i have some theories that you could consider.

    - Could it be a light bulb that is reference in the wrong coordinate system? (that wouldn't make sens anyways)

-maby the lighting of the room is turning with the propeller (it would still not give you a static shadow...)

    - a bug in photolux? (that would suck)

-all i can say is that i am following your post on mcadcentral forum :P

  • Dude you are awesome. I was looking for an animation tutorial for pro/e and you covered everything I needed in less than 10 min. 5 stars, thanks.

  • Thanks you for the feedback. I could make better ones then these though.... audio and video quality could improve :P

  • I understand how to animate the camera but how do I animate the parts so they can move, rotate, offset, etc.?

  • @kimbni

Okay I'm have solved the question my self. But I have another one. Does anyone know a good toturial which describes how to make parts move in an animation?

For instance if I want to make the propeller turn around in the video above

  • JacquesMichelHache thanks for animation tutorials.
