A television hoax unleashes pandemonium as citizens believe New York City is being washed away in this excerpt from S. O. S. TIDAL WAVE (1939), which utilizes stock footage from DELUGE (1933). Watch for a young Raymond Bailey ("You can't deal with a panic-stricken mob!"), best known for his role as Milburn Drysdale on THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES.

  • Is that the original English audio? I thought the only remaining bits were an Italian dub!

Aside from that, this is definitely Made Of Win!

  • @SandJosieph - Yes, that's the original audio for S.O.S. TIDAL WAVE. Much of the "disaster" footage is from DELUGE, and the (apparently) only surviving edition of that film is the Italian-release edition dubbed in Italian.
