@CoinDl Has to do with their spirit power mumbo jumbo, to be fair the only one who started out as a theatre performer was Sumire, they each have a different background, Maria (the short haired blonde at the top) was a soldier during the Russian Revolution, Kohran (the pigtailed girl with the glasses) was a technician/engineer who helped build the mechs in question, etc.

How come in everything where the character design is by Kosuke Fujishima, the characters look kinda different. The characters from "Oh My Goddess" looks different from the those in the "Tales of" series, both of which looks different from those in the "Sakura Taisen" series.
